Please don't tell me they are now pushing the Kosher mafia labeling in Norway too. This is the most unbelievable thing here. In the Midwest of the USA, where everyone is German Swedish Irish or Norsk, the food has the kosher labels. There are almost no Jews in these communities, and yet everyone of us pays for the Kosher label. The Jews charge by the unit.

Halal here. Do Jews think Halal is okay to eat, I wonder? I think the process involves a similar degree of torturous agony for the animal, so it should be fine on that score.

How do you make an egg white bleed to death in horrendous pain, though?

No it is the other way around , Moslems wil eat kosher things but Jews will not eat halal.

Didn't we hear a while ago about Somalis being recruited for US Kosher slaughterhouses a while ago, though? Did they have to alter what they were doing a bit?

The techniques are specific. In a large slaughterhouse they will have a rabbi there who insures things are done right, but it does not mater who does it.
There are super-strict Orthodox Jews who will only buy meat at certain places.

One rabinical authority was selling stickers for the manufacturers of pastries and cakes to affix themselves, and the other jews got angry because of course that means zero supervision. I just want to know why I have to pay
for kosher stuff, when I Am a pork eater.

I think "kosher" is as much a racket against jews as it is gentiles. Globally, Jews do much better for themselves as a group when they reject rabbinical domination (which just made them odd little minorities living in European ghettos) and stick to being blood-thirsty secular commercialistic colonials (which has made them... you tell me. ;))

This kosher thing is just away for them to play "cultural" and connect to the jewish identity.

The funny part is they tricked us into paying them to do it! :-O

All food prepackaged in the US is mark with the K or U. I just checked the kitchen cabinets, pancake mix, rice, cream of wheat, canned vegetables, everything is kosher. Seems like a lot of trouble for such a small - maybe 2% - portion of the population.

I don't have a lot of packaged foods in my kitchen, but I checked and didn't find anything kosher or halal. Maybe you guys are all crypto-Jews?

I did find that the noodles I bought are vegan and the soup can is USDA organic certified.

However, I used to work for a food company, and they made nothing that was kosher. They evidently got calls all the time asking if it was though. They tried to lie to them and tell them things, like shrimp stir-fry is kosher for passover.

Arte you sure you don't have anything kosher. The symbol is a tiny K or U in a circle. Most people don't even notice them.

I've seen them before, but appear not to have anything at the moment that is kosher. I might go to the market tonight, so maybe I'll have some later. :|
