Skadi IRC has been reinstalled and reconfigured.

You can connect to it with your browser (http://www.skadi.net/chat/), or with any IRC client such as mIRC (http://www.mirc.com/):

Server:irc.skadi.net
Ports: 6667 or 6697 (256-bit SSL)
Channel: #skadi

You will have to reregister your nickname.

Njord, you posted a step by step process for using Mirc. I think it was lost with the last crash. Maybe you should post it again for those that are :dork

How do you do that MIRC stuff, anyway? I'm too lazy to figure it out... ;(

Just use your browser. It's easier.

Haha, that doesn't work at all. It just comes up...blank. Oh, well, I should really be doing something else anyway... But I'm bored. ;(

I'm not the person to ask for technical help. Maybe Nordhammer could help you.

IRC Client...

1.) First, you're going to need an IRC client, there are many clients out there, mIRC (http://www.mirc.com) is the usual chosen one. Also HydraIRC is an entertaining one. Either way, download one of them and install it and we're ready for step two!

2.) We need to either configure a server, or just manually join, the details are right about here..

Name: Skadi
Host: irc.skadi.net
Port: 6667
Group: Skadi (If needed)

if you don't feel like doing all of this, just get to a status window in either client and type /server irc.skadi.net, It's usually easier that way in the short run, but in the long run it gets tedious.

3.) When you are finally connected, you are ready to join a channel, channels are chat rooms where we converse. Either enter #skadi in the box it provides you when you connect, or if it does not, type /join #skadi in the status window of your choosing. Then if you have any questions, you can ask for assistance right there in realtime.

The three step plan, it sounds rather complicated at first, but it gets alot easier over time.

Also for the Java, something should pop up that you need to click yes to, otherwise the java won't load.
