ST. JOHN'S, Nfld. (CP) - Activists with Greenpeace say they tried unsuccessfully to paint a sign on an Icelandic fishing vessel Saturday, as they continued their campaign against the controversial practice of bottom trawling.
Members of the environmental group tried painting the word "Legal?" on the Petur Jonsson, but the crew aboard the Icelandic shrimp trawler sprayed them with water, said Bunny McDiarmid, an activist on board the Esperanza.
